Postpartum Support
The role of the postpartum doula is to offer gentle guidance as you transition into life with a new baby. With a focus on the wellness of both the parents and baby, Shannon will be there to support physical and emotional healing, as well as helping you learn baby skills such as general cares, feeding, and sleeping. Depending on your needs, she can prepare and cook nutritious meals, hold your baby to give you the opportunity for some 'me' time, as well as offer suggestions and reassurance about everything newborn related. She strives to help you grow your confidence to take care of your baby and her care will be individualised to your needs.
As a certified Thompson Method Practitioner she can offer support with feeding your baby and answer any questions you may have. If you are experiencing breastfeeding complications and need additional support, a breastfeeding rescue session can be added to one of your visits at a discounted rate.

Did your birth have unexpected events or outcomes? Do you need to talk through your birth experience?
Shannon understands that there are many factors that contribute to a negative birth experience and recognises the value in debriefing with a kind and non-judgemental person.
This is an informal session for you to talk through your birth experience. It is available for the birthing parent or support person.
One-on-one via video call.
Cost $65 per 60min session
